Bond between Teachers and Students
Teachers had always been an inspiration, pillars of faith and supporters from level Primary till the time I completed my education and even after. The term ' Teacher' is not restricted with the people who you meet in your school ,colleges or in educational institutes but it is actually associated with anyone and everyone from whom you learn even small lessons in your life and they could be your parents, friends, relatives or even neighbors.
One day I was going through a street with
my mom when suddenly she asked a few kids playing on street to stand up in a queue. I was wondering why she has stopped and why is she even talking to them. She asked a few questions to all those 12 kids standing there.
* Names of the little kiddos.
* Are they attending any school?
* Do they like studying?
* Do they want to learn new things?
* Will they come to our home to study?
All this made me go numb on her reaction on those poor little kids playing on the street. She met their mothers and invited ladies with their children to home from the next day at 2 pm . I felt something really wonderful after seeing the beautiful expressions and their wide smiles extending from left cheek to right cheek.
The very next day, as the door bell rang at 2 pm and my mom went ahead of me to open as she was all prepared to welcome them. I was amazed to see her enthusiasm to teach and make them so capable to learn the basic etiquette to live and lead a blessed life in this cruel world.
Earlier It was a difficult and challenging task to teach and get the attention of those who had never been to schools or had never seen books in their entire life and only a few of them were interested in studying and others had got no interest in that. Mom, sometimes used to distribute gifts to draw their attention.
She has made them so capable by now that they are able to read, write and make calculations so that people around can't bluff them. They now can take admissions as well if they are interested and their pocket allows.
Though my mom gave them education but at the same time, also taught me that there is no boundaries and limitations if you want to learn and spread knowledge and bookish knowledge is not everything. Though it's been more than 2 years they are studying at our place and most of them have joined Government schools as well with mom's help. We only hope for their better future.
Education is not something which can only be fetched in schools or educational institutions after paying huge fees but it is something which can be grasped from anyone at anytime.
Do not let the balloon of knowledge stop but let it fly. May someone, somewhere will rise high because of you. Never be ashamed to extend your hand for economically weaken, socially depressed or incapable citizens.
